1934 ~ 2016 Shirley Mae Ryan Skinner, our sweet Wife, Mom, Sister, Grandma, Aunt and dear friend passed away December 18, 2016, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Park City, Utah January 5, 1934 to loving parents, William Jennings and Florence Rowena Porter Ryan. Married for time and all eternity to Colin Warren Skinner September 10, 1958 in the Logan Utah Temple. Together they worked, loved and shared a life of devotion. Survived by children Todd (Kathleen) Skinner, Tracy (John) Joost, Teresa (Del) Craig, Trent Skinner, Timothy Ryan (Amy) Skinner, brothers William Ryan, and Jack (Walleen) Ryan, 14 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren, all the delight of her life.Shirley was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to all. She led a life full of service in the community and in her church. She had a constant desire and passion to learn and to help her posterity achieve their best potential. Shirley and Colin raised their family in California (with an eight-year break in Utah before returning to California in 1971). Shirley and Colin have been devoted grandparents, and their gentle influence is a profound blessing to each grandchild. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 22, at 11 a.m. at the LDS Church located at 1855 W. 13400 S., Riverton. A visitation will be held one hour prior. Interment, Riverton City Cemetery. Donations in lieu of flowers to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Humanitarian Fund ( www.ldsphilanthropies.org ).
