Sharon Winnafred Wixson Coates, age 78, passed away on March 6, 2019, at her home in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on February 5, 1941, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Myrtle Evelina Hendrickson and Stillman Don Wixson. She was widowed on November 17, 2000 when the love of her life passed away. She and Robert Leslie Coates married May 17, 1973.
She went to Granite High School. She served in the U.S Army till 1960. She had eight children, twenty grandchildren and 30 great-grandkids.
She had a passion for the Lord and was a soldier for the Salvation Army. When she was younger she loved to do things spur of the moment, like take trips, camping, hiking etc...she almost never left the house without her movie camera or a picture camera. She worked as a nurse at the VA hospital for a little while. That was the one job she loved. She will be missed. But never forgotten!
She is survived by her sisters Margo Duke and Shanna Green, her daughters Valiene Bush, Sharlene Martinez, Sherrelliene Mullins, Joliene Bushnell, her sons Christopher Jobe and Waylon Jobe, her grandchildren Chaundra, Christina, Anthony, Anna, Rosa, Lela, Shamra, Chris, Josh, Jacob, Emma, Dylan, Allysa, Kolevyn, Hayley, Brandy and Neil, and 30 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Leslie Coates, daughter Dawnn Raylene Howell and son Richard Kelly Jobe.
